Hypersomnia

Narcolepsy

Person affecting from it feels excessive daytime sleepiness. Muscle tone, distorted perceptions and the inability to move or talk can be some other narcolepsy symptoms

Sleep Apnea

Sleep apnea is a most common sleeping disorder. In this condition person feels difficulty in breathing while he/she is sleeping. Interesting part is that the person does not actually know about it while they are at different stages of sleep.

Snoring is one of the key sleep apnea symptoms that are seen in the people affecting from this problem. This is generally due to narrow airways created during sleeping.

People with larger tongue or larger neck areas are found to be affected from these types of sleep apnea symptoms. Many times others sleeping with the affected person also find difficult to sleep, affected from the noise of snoring.

Restless Leg Syndrome

Restless leg syndrome is a neurological sleeping disorders in which person affected find them restless during the stages of sleep and sleeping hours. People with RLS experience restless legs, burning or creeping and find it hard for comfortable sleep.

RLS may generally be caused by anemia, pregnancy, alcohol, nicotine, or some kidney disease. This may also be caused due to some types of side effects by certain medications or some weakness in the body parts.

Jet Lag

Jet lag is a temporary sleeping disorders in which individual has to suffer from various other sleeping disorders due to air travel across time zones.

Due to change in time zones, people find it hard to complete their sleep and find it hard to adjust at the present time conditions. They generally forget about how much sleep they had taken.

Jet lag occurs when the traveler’s body has not responded to the different time zone and as a result, they are unable to sleep properly.

Walking in Sleep

Walking in sleep is a condition of sleepwalking in which affected people perform some activities while sleeping. Walking is most common during this and people are not aware that they are walking during their sleeping conditions.

Sleepwalking can be seen in any person irrespective of age or sex. It can be caused by some side effects of medications or alcohol consumption, or some forms of mental illness.

Insomnia

Those dealing with insomnia are unable to fall asleep or stay asleep. They find themselves restless when lying down on the bed and feels difficult to get to sleep normally.

These individuals have both the opportunity and time to sleep, but cannot do so. Insomnia may be caused by poor quality or quantity of sleep and occurs in 30 to 50 percent of the population.

Bed wetting

Bed wetting is common in kids. It is often seen in the children ranging from 1 to 4 ages.  Some children are also seen to be wetting the bed after the age of 4 also.

This is generally caused by the inability to recognize the need to use the washrooms while sleeping. It can also be linked to emotional trauma, especially in older children and adults.

Teeth Grinding

Some individuals grind teeth while they are sleeping. This is the condition known as bruxism and is generally harmful. But if seen for long can wear down the teeth of the sufferers.

Also it can result in some type of sleeping problems in near future if not controlled. This may be caused due to anxiety or stress.
