5 HYGIENIC TIPS FOR TEENAGERS TO BE HEALTHY AND FIT

1. Wear Clean, tidy and washed clothing

Wearing clean and nicely washed clothes is the first step to remain healthy and hygienic. Boys should wear washed and clean underwear, socks, and other under garments which are in direct contact of the body. Girls should wear washed and fresh bra, panties and other under garments. You can use the upper clothing like shirts and trousers for more than one day. But they should also be washed in three days.

2. Wash your face at least two times a day

By washing your face twice daily, may be more, you can avoid pimples and other skin problems to a greater extent. Also you should take some care, don’t scrub! Rub in circular motions slowly and gently. You should not pop pimples; this can lead to scarring and an infected pimple. Also, try not to touch your face, and only touch your face if you have just washed your hands. Girls should always remove makeup from their face before they go to sleep.

3. Brush Twice daily

Strive to try and brush your teeth after every meal! This will also avoid the bad breath as bad breath mostly comes from either poor eating habits or poor brushing habits.

4. Take the showers everyday


It has been seen that teenagers due to more activeness have their sweat glands becoming more active, which are creating different chemicals that cause sweat to turn into a disgusting odor. So, to make sure you’re getting rid of this entire smelly odor you should use a mild soap and warm water! Even if it’s hot outside you need to shower in warm water, because that opens up your pores which means you get to clean more of that smell off of you. Then rinse off in cold water to shut your pores and eliminate the amount of bacteria that makes you stink. Also not forget to apply a nice and branded deodorant in summers. This will keep you away from the sweat smell for the whole day long.

5. Wash your hair thrice in a week

You can also wash it every day if needed. Use a shampoo and conditioner meant for your type of hair. It doesn’t work if you’re using volume shampoo when you need smoothing shampoo. You don’t need conditioner but it helps if you get knots or tangles easily. And every two or three weeks, wash your hair with a clarifying shampoo to get rid of all the buildup.


These are the basics of the hygiene which every teenager should apply to remain healthy and hygienic. There are although some of them for boys which are different from girls. Boys should shave their face regularly so as to look clean and tidy. Whereas girls should shave their legs and underarms regularly and when needed.
